'64 Buick Riviera

Here's a Wedgewood Blue (era and model appropriate paint) 1964 Buick Riviera hardtop coupe with whitewall tires. I spotted this car in the parking lot of the Northside Cub grocery as I was pulling in to pick up some salad greens for brunch. The owner was nice enough to let me photograph his car and seemed pretty pleased with the look of his ride -as well he should -this thing is beautiful...and way to go with those white walls!
So here's what I know about these cars. It's probably got a 425 cubic inch engine sitting under its hood (a liter is equivalent to 61.023 cubic inches, so this 425 is just under 7 liters) and around 340 HP. Brand new back in the day, one of these would probably have cost around $4,500. I doubt you could buy one like this for that amount now... Maybe triple or quadruple that amount though. It's a sure sign of spring when people start to roll their classics out of the garage and onto city streets!
